*Oriental liturgical and religious terminology in Maltese language*

Following last years successful Public Academic Evening on the Continuation of Christianity during the Arab Period, the Faculty of Theology, in collaboration with Maltese Oriental Society, is holding another Public Theological Encounter. This year’s Public Lecture will be held on *Wednesday 17^th March 2010* at the *Archbishop’s Curia, Floriana at 18.45*.

During this evening Dr Martin R. Zammit, will present his research regarding traces of Oriental liturgical and religious terminology in the Maltese language. The lecture will analyse the different strata of Maltese religious terminology, highlighting linguistic features which belong to both the Christian and Muslim traditions.

The lecture will be followed by a flute solo by Mr Jacob Portelli.
