Malta’s heritage through stamps
Malta’s history is being mapped out in a new book called The Historical Collection – Celebrating Malta’s Heritage through Stamps.

The book, published by Midsea Books in collaboration with Maltapost plc, is being released alongside a new Definitive Set of 17 stamps portraying iconic images related to a specific age, period or event in the history and culture of the Maltese Islands.

“The Historical Collection offers a comprehensive representation of the experiences of these islands between pre-history and today and gives readers an insight into our historic heritage – by far among the most precious assets we possess,” Maltapost chairman Joseph Said explained.

A uniquely numbered souvenir sheet bearing the 17 stamps is included in the first 2,500 numbered copies of this publication.

The Historical Collection retails at €65 and is available from all Maltapost branches and the Philatelic Bureau in Marsa (2596 1740).
